Tribute to my dearest Godmother

Life is a journey that ends with the inevitable called “DEATH”. We always wish Death never  came calling so that we continue to enjoy the company of our loved ones. Alas, there is always the necessary end. Our prayer should always be to live a good and impactful life so that we can always be remembered for our good works. You were one of the few in this world that will be forever remembered for your good works.

I grew up, privileged in  having and knowing 2 mothers. Yes, one is my biological mother and the other,my godmother, yeah I called you godmother because our paths crossing was orchestrated by God far back in late 90s. I'm the man I am today as a result of their presence , guardianship and concerted efforts in my life especially at the sensitive stage of adulthood.

With deep pain  and void in my heart I'm writing this tribute to my godmother Prof. Christiana Chukwu( Mummy). Nneoma/Nne di na mba, the woman with a heart of gold and so much love to give , beautiful inside out, hmmm...the role you played in my life was so significant, it went beyond a godmother's. You took me as your son, you never compromised  with the values you instilled in me. With your love, care, advise,  words of wisdom, attention and  prayers, you patiently groomed  me , you were a true definition of spare the rod and spoil the child, because you never hesitated in putting me back on track whenever i derailed.

She wasn't just my... VIEW FULL TRIBUTE

I\'ll forever miss you

Dear mum,

I really don't know where to start from, but like yesterday, I remember you telling me and my Ogbo to take life easy.

And I can't forget all the promises I made you, how you'll always call and chat me up out of the blues to check up on me as your son which you always called me, and told me how life would be and how I should go about it. It really hit me so bad when I got the news, even after I tried to come through while still on your sick bed, but the hustle took me far away. Mum you are special and will always remain in my heart. No one can ever replace the love you showed us as your kids. God be with you till we meet again. Love you mum.

Rest in peace. God knows best and I know you'll keep looking down on us your kids from heaven.

Your legacy will always live in our hearts.

Ezeogo Igariwey

Exit of a Humble Woman

Prof. I am still in shock and in doubt of your transition. The first day I meet you, you directed me to an office. I never knew I was talking with a Professor. What a humble woman! I won't call it a tragedy, but a transition to eternal bliss which leaves a transforming legacies. Farewell thee!

Adieu Prof.

In Loving Memory

In loving memory of Professor Chukwu, a mother and mentor during my time at Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki. Her unwavering support and belief in me were instrumental in my journey, ensuring I graduated against all odds. I will never forget her kindness, dedication, and the strength she provided when I needed it most. May she continue to rest in peace.

Sincerely,

Prof. Adaobi Duru-Okechi
